After his match in the main event of AEW Collision this past Saturday, CM Punk cut a promo in front of the North Carolina crowd after the show went off air and took shots at “Hangman” Adam Page.

Punk called Page a “Peg Warmer” and said that he can’t move merchandise or pop ratings or sell toys like him. The Best In The World also called himself the heart and soul of AEW and the “real” World Champion of the promotion.

As noted before, The Wrestling Observer reported that Page was set to be at Collision to record a promo to hype up this Wednesday’s Dynamite, but he was told to not go to the building as his promo would be taped somewhere else.

The Wrestling Observer provided an update today and revealed that Matt Hardy was also booked for the latest episode of Collision and was told not to go to the building after arriving in town for the taping.

However, it wasn’t confirmed if Hardy not being at Collision had something to do with Punk. It was also added that Punk has issues with AEW’s Head Of Talent Relations Christopher Daniels.

Haus Of Wrestling reported more on the matter and revealed that Punk’s comments about Page did not come across how he would have liked them, and he felt bad about them afterwards.

Punk also had some words with Ryan Nemeth (WWE’s Dolph Ziggler’s brother) on the night of his return, as Punk wasn’t happy about Nemeth calling him the “softest man alive” in a response to Punk calling The Young Bucks “Counterfeit Bucks” in his return promo on Collision back in June.

Nemeth was sent home from Collision this past Saturday as Punk is said to not be looking for any drama backstage at Collision and felt that Nemeth’s previous comments showed his willingness to unnecessarily stir the pot in the locker room.

Punk also doesn’t want Christopher Daniels backstage at Collision due to his involvement in the brawl between Punk and The Elite after All Out last year. Ace Steel, Punk’s close friend who was involved in the brawl, isn’t allowed backstage at Collision, so Punk feels Daniels also deserves the same treatment.
