5. Chris Jericho Says Styles Clash Was Originally Banned In WWE, Reveals He Got The Move Unbanned
During a recent appearance on Chael Sonnen’s podcast, former WWF Champion Chris Jericho discussed his feud with current WWE World Champion, “The Phenomenal” AJ Styles, from earlier this year.

Jericho noted that Styles’ finisher, The Styles Clash, was originally banned in WWE and Styles wasn’t allowed to use it. However, Jericho noted that he got the move unbanned. Below is what Y2J said:

“It’s a cool feeling whenever you see guys that have worked long and hard to kind of achieve their goal, and obviously AJ coming in was a no-brainer. My favourite thing about AJ was that it started basically with me. I kind of helped him cut his teeth in the WWE, helped him get his finish unbanned. I mean the Styles Clash was banned when he first came in and I kind of helped him unlock that so he could start using it, so all of that stuff, I kind of take an extra special pride in seeing him.”

Jericho defeated Styles at WrestleMania 32 earlier this year.
