• CM Punk Says “Big Dog” Segment On SmackDown Was Garbage, Responds To Seth Rollins’ Challenge

Below are highlights from CM Punk’s appearance on tonight’s episode of WWE Backstage on FS1:

– CM Punk talks about why he signed with FOX for this show. Punk says he has no deal with WWE and agreed to do this show as he feels fans want someone to tell it like it is and be honest with their opinion about the WWE product.

– Punk revealed that about 10-12 people knew about his surprise return last week:

“My inner circle is very, very small now. You know, it’s the funny thing about being outside of the wrestling bubble. The people that you have who are like friends that you realize are just work acquaintances or people who were kinda just around, they fall to the wayside. That’s what happens.

Obviously, my wife [AJ Lee] knew — [Renee Young] knew — and…very small. 10, 12 people [knew].”

– Punk said the “Big Dog” segment with King Corbin on last week’s SmackDown was garbage. Below is what Punk said:

“I mean this is something…the less said about it I think it better. It makes me reconsider doing this show. Did you like it? You can’t possibly defend that. The creative’s bad.

I don’t know anything about Baron Corbin really. He’s one of the newer guys I’ve gotta check him out, but that’s a bad start. What did you think of it? Garbage. Garbage.”

– Punk says he likes seeing Brock Lesnar motivated and is looking forward to seeing Brock Lesnar vs. Rey Mysterio for the WWE Championship at Survivor Series.

– Punk says the blue Universal Championship title belt is stupid.

– Regarding Seth Rollins’ challenge, Punk said he isn’t looking to shoot angles on the show and thinks Rollins should stop tweeting and delete his tweet as it isn’t doing Rollins any favours.

– Punk asked Renee Young who her favorite Shield member is and Renee said she likes them all equally.
