• CM Punk will have his first televised singles match in WWE in over 10 years tonight at SummerSlam 2024. He will face Drew McIntyre with Seth Rollins acting as the special guest referee for the bout.
At the SummerSlam Kickoff event on Friday, Rollins got a good reaction from the fans, as they sang his theme song. CM Punk then came out and fans chanted his name, and he bragged about it to Rollins.
Fans then began singing Rollins’ theme song again and Rollins got in Punk’s face to brag about the fan reaction in the same way Punk did.
Punk then took a shot at Rollins by saying the following:
“It’s all downhill after the song, brother.”

• Trish Stratus made her return to WWE programming last month, hosting the Money In The Bank premium live event in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
Stratus initially returned in early 2023 to feud with Damage CTRL, aligning with Lita and Becky Lynch. This storyline led to Stratus turning heel by attacking Lynch and teaming up with Zoey Stark. The feud culminated in Stratus putting over Lynch in a steel cage match at Payback, concluding her run.
At Money In The Bank 2024, Stratus had a backstage encounter with Tiffany Stratton, who was disrespectful to the WWE Hall of Famer. Later that night, during the post-show media scrum, Stratton discussed the possibility of facing Stratus, expressing her readiness for the match.
In an interview on ‘Unlikely with Adrian Hernandez’, Stratus was asked about a potential match with Stratton. She mentioned that her last run checked off several boxes for her, and if a match with Stratton could check off a few more, she would consider it.
Here’s what the 7-time Women’s Champion said:
“I told you I checked some boxes when it’s time for a comeback. It’s not about nothing. It’s about something, right? It’s about a few things. Will the fans be interested? Is this a challenge for me as a performer? Going back as a heel was a challenge for me and something different for the fans.
Working with Zoey checked the box of influencing a different generation or impacting someone else along the way. Yeah, as I’m saying these out loud, it’s checking those boxes. There are a few boxes being checked, you know?
And again, like I said, if I can go back, 100%, I will and I’ll consider it. But I don’t know. If [Tiffany Stratton] keeps running her mouth, maybe you’ve got to put some people in their place. What can I say?”
