• CM Punk Went Off Script On Last Night’s AEW Dynamite

On last night’s episode of AEW Dynamite, AEW World Champion CM Punk had a heated war of words with Interim AEW World Champion Jon Moxley, where they brawled as well.

However, before Punk addressed Moxley, he addressed “Hangman” Adam Page, the man he defeated to become champion a few months back.

Punk said he wants to give Hangman a rematch, but he didn’t come out and this led to Punk calling him a coward by saying that’s “coward sh*t” (which was a dig at Page’s “Cowboy Sh*t” catchphrase).

According to the Wrestling Observer, Punk went off script, as the part with Hangman wasn’t supposed to happen:

“If you’re wondering about the CM Punk thing at the start of the show with Adam Page…that was weird, for everyone. As in, nobody knew he was going to do that.

If you remember months ago when they were feuding, and I said there was a lot of reality to it – well, there’s a lot of reality to it.

So, I don’t know what the deal was, and nobody else does either, but Punk was supposed to go out there and talk about Moxley and build the match, and he did…after he talked about Adam Page.

They may build something from it down the line, but it’s not scheduled for this pay-per-view, and nobody knew he was gonna do it.”

Punk and Moxley will now collide on next week’s episode of Dynamite, with the winner being crowned the Undisputed AEW World Champion.
