• Cody Rhodes Could Start Working For WWE As Soon As This Weekend, Brandi Rhodes’ Status
Sports Illustrated’s Justin Barrasso has also confirmed now that former AEW Superstar Cody Rhodes is expected to sign with WWE soon.
He also revealed that Cody could begin working with WWE as soon as this weekend:
“Every indication is that his next destination is WWE, potentially even as soon as filming segments at the Performance Center this weekend. And while Rhodes would add value to this year’s WrestleMania, he would also be a major reveal on the RAW immediately following ’Mania.”
This report also noted that Cody’s wife Brandi Rhodes won’t be joining him in WWE as of this writing.
Cody left the WWE in 2016 due to creative differences (especially the Stardust gimmick), but Barrasso reports that those won’t be an issue this time:
“That will be a non-factor in this return, where he is expected to have a far different relationship with the writing team and Vince McMahon.”
