• Cody Rhodes Reacts To WWE Bringing Back The Great American Bash

On this week’s NXT, it was revealed that next week’s episode of NXT will be a “Great American Bash” special edition of the show.

WWE made this decision to combat AEW’s Fyter Fest event taking place as a Dynamite special for the next two weeks.

Next week’s Night 1 of AEW’s Fyter Fest will go head to head against NXT’s Great American Bash, while Night 2 of AEW’s Fyter Fest will go head to head with a “Title For Title” match between NXT Champion Adam Cole & NXT North American Champion Keith Lee.

Some fans weren’t happy with WWE using Great American Bash, as it was created by Dusty Rhodes, and think Cody’s family should be given a royalty check for it.

Cody’s sister wants that to happen as well:

However, Cody doesn’t want that. Below is what he posted on Twitter:

“? it’s all good friend. I appreciate the sentiment. Although the event means a lot to my Sister and i, I don’t own the IP and ain’t holding much of a grudge on it.

My focus has to be on our show and talent. Making it fun, making it violent, making it memorable.”
