Below are some top WWE news stories of the day, involving Cody Rhodes and The Undertaker.
• The Undertaker made a surprise return at WrestleMania 40 and chokeslam The Rock, thus helping Cody Rhodes defeat Roman Reigns for the WWE Championship in the main event.
During an interview with Sports Illustrated, Cody revealed what he said to The Deadman after the show:
“When I heard the gong and there was The Undertaker, the one thing I verbally, I might have even said it out loud was: ‘This is 40 years of WrestleMania’. Gosh, the sheriff showing up, the judge showing up, certainly that energy in the building.
You know, I asked him later if he wanted to do a tag team, I could ride in a little sidecar on the bike. Just a really special thing.
I’m forever grateful to everyone who was involved on my side and everybody who was involved even on Roman’s side.”

• During a recent episode of his Six Feet Under podcast, The Undertaker talked about WWE Champion Cody Rhodes’ character and if The American Nightmare would turn heel anytime soon.
Here’s what The Deadman said:
“I don’t know that he would switch as a champion, but I don’t know what the approach would be there.
I think he would be a good heel. He gives me heel vibes. I could see him very easily being smug and ‘better than thou’.
Don’t get carried away. That’s all a work, but I can see it. I feel it in his character.”
