• Cody Rhodes Reveals What Vince McMahon Said To Him About Leaving WWE & Being A Vital Part Of AEW

After Cody Rhodes defeated Seth Rollins at WrestleMania 38 – Night 1, he was interviewed on The Ringer Wrestling Show.

Cody talked about how Vince McMahon came to meet him after his AEW departure praised him for what he did after leaving WWE in 2016.

Below is what Cody said:

“One of the most special parts of it was Bruce and Vince flew down to meet me.

If that meeting had not led to anything, if it was just a conversation about wrestling or sports entertainment, it would have been great closure for the last loop – because I left here on the worst of terms.

I talked all the smack on earth – but none of it mattered. It was just a case of [Vince] telling me, ‘you went out and did it.’”
