– SmackDown kicked off with Michael Cole interviewing Daniel Bryan. Cole said Daniel was originally scheduled to team up with Edge to face Roman Reigns & Jey Uso.
Daniel said he was never even asked if he wanted to team up with Edge and WWE Management assumed he would just roll with the punches. Daniel said he gets it, everyone wants The Attitude Era vs The Thunderdome Era, but he wants to be the one to take the Universal Title off of Roman.
For the last year, Bryan has put other talents in front of himself and for the last 3 weeks he has wrestled more than Edge & Roman combined. Bryan thinks he should be in the main event of WrestleMania 37, not Edge or Roman.
Universal Champion Roman Reigns interrupted Daniel Bryan. Reigns said Bryan is a little guy and is not ambitious like him. Bryan needs WWE, but Reigns does not need WWE because everyone needs Roman Reigns. Roman told Daniel to acknowledge him.
Jey Uso told Bryan that his road to WrestleMania ends tonight in the Steel Cage. Bryan then took out Uso.
– Street Profits were originally scheduled to face Sami Zayn & King Corbin in a Tag Team match, but Corbin refused to team up with Zayn again.
– King Corbin def. Montez Ford
– Angelo Dawkins def. Sami Zayn
– Carmella told Reginald he’s fired, and slapped his drink out of his hands
– Dominik Mysterio def. Chad Gable
– Seth Rollins said Cesaro wanted to embarrass him last week and he won’t ever forget that. Murphy interrupted and told Rollins that he thinks he can help him with the Cesaro situation. Rollins told Murphy to get out of his sight
– Bianca Belair def. WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion Shayna Baszler (After the match, Bianca told SmackDown Women’s Champion Sasha Banks that Reginald is her problem and she should fix it. Sasha slapped Reginald after this)
– Cesaro def. Murphy
– Reginald has his bags packed, and he knocks on Sasha’s locker room, but she screams ‘No’ at him when he wanted to talk. Nia Jax & Shayna Baszler ran into Reignald backstage. Shayna said she’s thirsty and wants to fight him. Nia told Shayna to chill, and said that Reginald is cute.
– Apollo Crews introduced his new protective force that’s been used for his family for generations. Apollo said he knows Big E is returning next week, and challenges him to a rematch for the Intercontinental Championship.
– Bayley read sweet tweets on “Ding Dong, Hello!”, but the last one wasn’t sweet. She got mad and left.
– Daniel Bryan def. Jey Uso in a Steel Cage match (Roman Reigns vs. Daniel Bryan for the Universal Championship has been made official for Fastlane 2021)
