On this day in 1999, the World Wrestling Federation aired an episode of their weekly TV show ‘WWF Shotgun Saturday Night’.

It was pre-taped at Schottenstein Center in Columbus, Ohio and featured mid-card matches & highlight videos on the road to the ‘WWF SummerSlam 1999’ PPV.

This episode was hosted by Michael Cole & Vince Russo.

Below are the results from tonight’s episode of Friday Night SmackDown on FOX:

– During a Firefly Fun House segment, Bray Wyatt told Universal Champion Braun Strowman that he is to blame for what happened to Alexa Bliss last week. Bray said Braun must give The Fiend what he wants or Alexa will find out even more what The Fiend is capable of

– Matt Riddle def. Sheamus via DQ after Shorty G interfered (After the match, Sheamus yelled at Shorty G for costing him the match and took him out)

– Sheamus told King Corbin in a backstage segment that him and his little minion Shorty G better stay out of his business, or else he will shove Corbin’s crown up his arse

– The Miz & John Morrison hold the Dirt Sheet with Special Guests Mandy Rose’s Hair and Sonya Deville. Sonya said she did exactly what she promised she would do, and mocked Mandy and Otis. Heavy Machinery came out and went after Miz & Morrison

– SmackDown Tag Team Champion Cesaro def. Lince Dorado

– The Fiend is about to choke out Alexa Bliss in the ring again, but she started touching his mask. Braun Strowman appeared on the screen and said he doesn’t give a damn about Alexa. Braun challenged The Fiend to a match at SummerSlam

– Jeff Hardy def. King Corbin via DQ after Sheamus interfered and hit Hardy with a Brogue Kick

– Sheamus def. King Corbin after Matt Riddle caused a distraction

– Stephanie McMahon announced a Triple Brand Battle Royal for next week’s SmackDown. Winner will face Bayley for the SmackDown Women’s Championship at SummerSlam

– Heavy Machinery vs. The Miz & John Morrison ended in a No Contest after Mandy Rose & Sonya Deville started fighting

– RETRIBUTION made their SmackDown debut and chased away Michael Cole & Corey Graves. They attacked some of the fans (Performance Center trainees) and cut the ropes with a chainsaw to end the show
