Tonight’s Royal Rumble 2024 premium live event was the first WWE PLE of the new year and it aired LIVE from the Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg, Florida.
This was the 37th annual Royal Rumble event. Below are the complete results:
– Women’s Royal Rumble Match: Bayley won by eliminating Liv Morgan in the end
During this match, Naomi returned to WWE and Jade Cargill made her official debut. Also, TNA Knockouts World Champion Jordynne Grace was a surprise entrant.
– Fatal 4-Way Match For The Undisputed WWE Universal Championship: Roman Reigns (c) def. AJ Styles, LA Knight & Randy Orton to retain the Title
Reigns pinned Styles to win. Orton had the match won after an RKO on Roman, but Solo Sikoa pulled the referee out of the ring, thus screwing Orton.
– United States Championship Match: Logan Paul (c) def. Kevin Owens via DQ to retain the Title
A friend of Logan caused distraction at ringside. Austin Theory and Grayson Waller then ran out. Theory passed brass knuckles to Logan, but Kevin pulled them away and punched Logan with it. Kevin went for the cover, but referee saw the knuckles and disqualified Owens. Owens powerbombed Logan through the announce table after the match.
– Men’s Royal Rumble Match: Cody Rhodes won by eliminating CM Punk in the end
During this match, Andrade made his return to WWE.
