On this day in 1996, Ted Turner’s World Championship Wrestling aired another LIVE episode of their weekly TV show ‘WCW MONDAY NITRO’.
It was broadcasted from the the Nashville Municipal Auditorium in Nashville, Tennessee and featured matches, interviews & storyline segments on the road to the ‘WCW Slamboree 1996’ PPV.

– Roman Reigns & The Miz def. Elias & Bobby Lashley via DQ when Shane O’Mac interfered. Reigns took out Shane after the match.
– Universal Champion Seth Rollins is shown backstage and then a Money In The Bank 2019 promo video is shown for Seth Rollins vs. AJ Styles.
– Shane McMahon books Braun Strowman vs. Sami Zayn. If Sami wins this match, then he’ll take Strowman’s place in the Men’s Money In The Bank ladder match. It should be noted that WWE advertised Braun Strowman vs. Drew McIntyre for tonight’s RAW on their website, so it looks like that match has been nixed without any explanation.
– Mojo Rawley def. Apollo Crews
– Nikki Cross will replace Alexa Bliss in tonight’s Women’s Fatal 4 Way match. It should be noted that Nikki has been repackaged.
