Adam’s Apple interviewed former 2-division UFC Champion Conor McGregor in New York City and asked him if he’s interested in WWE.

McGregor initially responded with, “You never know, let’s see”, before entering his car. When questioned if he finds the idea entertaining, the biggest pay-per-view draw in UFC history replied, “Not this moment”.

When asked if WWE has approached him about doing something, he said “no”.

After the WWE-UFC merger was announced in 2023, McGregor posted an edited photo of him holding both the WWE Championship and the UFC Championship.

As seen in the above tweet, he also used a hashtag to say that him winning the WWE Championship is inevitable.

This led to Paul Heyman tweeting the following:

“Conor McGregor is a Roman Reigns wannabe!!!”

McGregor then replied:

“Careful Grampa. I’ll show up and break your jaw in 3 places.”

Since WWE & UFC are owned by the same company now, they have started doing cross-promotion. WWE Superstars are shown in attendance at UFC PPVs, while Lightweight fighter Michael Chandler recently appeared on WWE RAW and cut a short promo, where he called out McGregor.

Speaking of McGregor, he recently noted on Instagram stories that he wants to fight Chandler at UFC 303 on June 29 and have his trilogy fight against Nate Diaz at UFC 306 at The Sphere in Las Vegas on September 14.

He also wrote the following:

“Still holding hope for June 29. Lack of action on it, however, is now causing lack of enthusiasm. I need a decision soon. I am the most tested athlete under this new regime. Yet no date to fight.

The game is a bit lackluster also at present, which isn’t helping. I hope these next few cards pop and I get a date. Eliminate distractions and begin real work towards it.”
