• Conor McGregor Says He Was Injured Heading Into The Khabib Fight

In the main event of UFC 229 on October 6th 2018, the biggest fight in the history of Ultimate Fighting Championship took place – Conor McGregor challenging the undefeated Khabib Nurmagomedov for the UFC Lightweight (155 lbs) Championship.

McGregor lost to Khabib in the 4th round via Submission (neck crank). A fight broke out between both fighters’ teams after the bout was over.

This event holds the record for the most pay-per-view buys in UFC history: 2.4 million.

Conor recently claimed on Twitter that he was injured heading into this fight. Below is what he tweeted:

“I crushed the metatarsal bones in my foot 3 weeks before the Khabib fight, and still made the walk. All injuries are not the same. You will see it all on @netflix. When a serious injury with a high % of never recovering occurs, it is just simply not the same.”

Many fans believe that McGregor doesn’t have the same drive and work ethic when it comes to MMA training after he made over $100 million for his Boxing match against Floyd Mayweather is 2017.

Below is what McGregor tweeted about it:

“The premise of ‘I don’t work as hard as I used to since succeeding financially’ will be debunked fully. You are going to witness insanity in scientific form.”

McGregor is planning to enter the USADA drug testing pool in February 2023, so it looks like he’s going to fight next year.
