Ever since top UFC Star Conor McGregor became a two weight division World Champion in November 2016, Vince McMahon has wanted to bring him to WrestleMania 33 and do something similar to what Ronda Rousey did at WrestleMania 31.
McGregor noted to FOX Sports earlier this year that talks are going on between his team and WWE officials for an appearance at WrestleMania 33:
“Never say never. I know there’s been conversations. I know Triple H was at the show (UFC 205). I’d love to go to the WWE and have a real knock. Let one of them have a real knock and see what’s what. We’ll see. There’s conversations ongoing. I’ve turned down some things, conversations still ongoing.”
The final word regarding this situation is that Conor McGregor won’t be appearing at WrestleMania 33 as the money that WWE offered for an appearance was less in his mind and he was demanding a lot.
