Former NXT North American Champion The Velveteen Dream was released by WWE in 2021 after he was accused of grooming underage boys. However, he never admitted to doing such things.
Many people had high expectations from him in WWE, but his career went downhill once those allegations were made and he was being taken on and off television before finally getting released.
Besides that, former WWE wrestler EC3 accused Dream of using Cocaine and recording other WWE wrestlers’ junks secretly in the bathroom during a party at his house.
In August 2022, he was arrested twice. The first time was on battery and trespassing charges and the second time was due to an out-of-state warrant on drug possession.
According to insider source BWE, Dream has been in therapy and has been progressing very well. He has visited the WWE Performance Centre in Orlando, Florida multiple times. He was apparently there last night as well.
He has not signed any official deal with WWE yet.
Fightful Select reports that a higher-up within WWE has stated that the company has “no interest” in re-signing Dream at this time.
A dozen of sources who frequently visit the Performance Center haven’t seen him around at all.
