• WWE Legend Passes Away
Kerwin Silfies, the legendary director who crafted the visual identity of WWE for over 35 years, has passed away at age 75 following a private illness, according to PWInsider.
Joining the promotion in 1985, Silfies was the mastermind behind the camera for nearly every major milestone in the company’s history. He directed the iconic Saturday Night’s Main Event specials, decades of WrestleManias, and helped launch WWE’s global expansion into markets like Saudi Arabia.

His creative fingerprints were also on the legendary Mr. Perfect vignettes, which set the standard for how wrestling characters were introduced to the world.
Though he preferred to stay behind the scenes, Silfies’ impact was so profound that his name inspired the “Kerwin White” persona used by Chavo Guerrero.
His long tenure concluded in the early 2020s during a wave of pandemic-era cuts, marking the end of an era for the production truck. Outside of sports entertainment, his directorial talent earned him acclaim for the 2007 Civil War documentary The Last Full Measure.
