• Current Plan For WWE Women’s Title Match At SummerSlam 2026

Rhea Ripley retained the WWE Women’s Championship against Jade Cargill at Clash in Italy and appears to be heading into SummerSlam 2026 as one of SmackDown’s top champions.

On last week’s SmackDown, Charlotte Flair made it clear that she wants a title match at SummerSlam, while Women’s United States Champion Tiffany Stratton also set her sights on Ripley’s championship.

However, WWE may be considering a very different direction. According to False Finish, WWE has internally discussed Rhea Ripley defending the WWE Women’s Championship against Jacy Jayne at SummerSlam 2026 in Minneapolis.

The potential match would make sense given that Fatal Influence has been feuding with Ripley, Flair and Alexa Bliss since arriving on SmackDown.

Earlier this week, another report claimed WWE had discussed Charlotte Flair vs. Jade Cargill for SummerSlam. If those two stars end up facing each other, WWE may decide to go with a fresh opponent for Mami.

• Jey Uso Reacts To Fan Backlash After He Advances In The King Of The Ring Tournament

In the main event of last night’s SmackDown, Jey Uso defeated LA Knight, Royce Keys, and Finn Balor in a Fatal 4-Way match to advance to the semi-finals of the King of the Ring tournament.

During the match, LA took out Solo Sikoa. Solo fired back by hitting Knight with a Samoan Spike. Royce hit the spinebuster on LA and was pinning him when Jey hit a splash on both of them and pinned Knight to pick up the win.

Jey Uso will now face Je’Von Evans in one of the semi-finals.

The YEET Master’s victory received backlash from fans on social media. The former World Heavyweight Champion had the following to say about it on his Instagram story:

• WWE Has Big Plans For Danhausen

WWE is getting ready to capitalize on a massive business opportunity in New York City if the Knicks manage to win the NBA Finals.

SmackDown Superstar Danhausen has recently become a mainstream celebrity in the city after publicly “uncursing” the basketball team. This viral moment has already landed Danhausen several major media appearances, and WWE executives are thrilled with the mainstream buzz and hoping to take things to the next level.

Behind the scenes, management is busy brainstorming ways to turn this basketball success into profit. According to Fightful Select, if the Knicks secure the championship, WWE plans to immediately feature Danhausen at the upcoming Saturday Night’s Main Event show at Madison Square Garden. Marketing teams are also rushing to design exclusive Danhausen merchandise and custom content for Fanatics Fest, a massive fan convention happening that very same weekend.

Ultimately, WWE sees long-term potential in this sports crossover. A company source revealed that if the Knicks walk away with the trophy, WWE wants to make Danhausen a permanent fixture of their promotional campaigns across the entire New York area moving forward.
