According to the Dirty Sheets, WWE Champion Daniel Bryan is controlling his creative booking currently and is also involved in writing the storylines that he’s a part of.

While writing his storylines, Bryan agreed to lose to multiple stars that he felt were underrated (Rusev, Shelton Benjamin…) and this shocked the WWE officials. Due to the unselfish nature of his booking, Bryan was given “right to refusal” in his new contract.

Bryan has been booking himself ever since his return at WrestleMania 34 and he has gained Vince McMahon’s trust in a big way. Bryan convinced Vince to have him turn heel because the “YES!” chants were slowing down.

205 Live wrestler Mustafa Ali making his SmackDown debut this week and facing Bryan in a match was also an idea that was pitched by Bryan.

Dirty Sheets also noted that Bryan has been very clever with the way he deals with Vince. Bryan knows Vince doesn’t like guys who are similar to Bryan’s current WWE heel character in real-life and that’s why Vince loves Bryan’s current heel character as that’s something Vince feels people will truly hate.

With that being said, Vince & Bryan get together great despite real-life Bryan being exactly like the guy he is currently portraying on TV.
