Tonight’s WWE SmackDown’s main event will feature the in-ring return of Sheamus as he faces the Intercontinental Champion Daniel Bryan. The earlier scheduled main event was Daniel Bryan & Dolph Ziggler vs. Bad News Barrett & Sheamus, but it looks like WWE played some kind of injury angle with Ziggler after he was attacked by Sheamus on Raw.
WWE officials are angry at Sheamus because he was very rough in the ring during his match with Bryan, and he was seen not protecting Bryan enough. It is being reported that there were many reckless spots in the match.
After the match was over, Bryan was busted open and 7 stitches were required to close the wound, but that cut may be due to Barrett’s attack. You can watch Sheamus’ new theme song and his promo on SmackDown in the video embedded above.
