β’ Date For Roman Reigns’ Next WWE Appearance Announced
At SummerSlam 2025, Roman Reigns teamed up with Jey Uso to defeat Bronson Reed and Bron Breakker of The Vision. On this week’s RAW, The Vision brutally assaulted Reigns, with Reed stealing Roman’s sneakers again! Many fans thought that this was WWE’s way to write Roman off TV, but it looks like that’s not the case, as Wells Fargo Center has announced that The OTC will appear on the August 18th episode of RAW in Philadelphia.

However, Roman will soon step away from the ring temporarily as he takes on a major role in the upcoming live-action Street Fighter film, where he is set to play Akuma. According to PWInsider, Reigns is scheduled to begin filming on September 2, with the project expected to wrap his portion by September 26.
The production window is projected to last around four weeks, barring any scheduling shifts. Insiders indicate that this commitment has been built into WWEβs internal plans, suggesting that Reignsβ temporary absence from television will be handled through storyline developments.
While specific details about his scenes have not yet been confirmed, the filmβs production timeline gives Reigns enough space to return in time for potential fall season WWE appearances – assuming all goes as scheduled.
β’ Why WWE Removed Austin Theory From Their Internal Roster
On a recent episode of RAW, Grayson Waller announced that Austin Theory is injured and that A-Town Down Under is over. PWInsider is reporting that Theory has now been removed from WWE’s internal roster sheet.
Fightful Select added that Theory is not gone from the WWE roster, but is now listed with other injured wrestlers like Ilja Dragunov and Zoey Stark.
Theory’s last match took place on the July 14th WWE Main Event taping before RAW, where he lost to El Grande Americano.
β’ Paul Heyman Says Fans Can’t Cancel Brock Lesnar
During his interview on The Ariel Helwani Show, Paul Heyman said the following about Brock Lesnar returning to WWE: “That happened real quick. Yeah, that happened, like, a couple weeks. I mean, at least to my knowledge. I got taken to it after the deal was done.”
Helwani talked about some fans criticizing WWE for bringing Lesnar back due to the allegations made against him by Janel Grant. When Helwani asked Heyman if the criticism is fair, Heyman replied:
“I don’t pay attention to it. He’s here. That’s a reality of the fact he’s here. And if you were in MetLife Stadium on Sunday, you would understand that return meant a lot. That audience was shocked to see Brock Lesnar come out and to see him F5 John Cena. Nuts. That’s our paying audience. They’re happy to see him. I’m happy to be part of a team that presents him.
Everyone has criticism in life. There are people that criticize Jesus, there are people that criticize Moses, there are people that criticize Muhammad. There are people that criticize God or Gods. There is no President that has ever existed with 100% approval rating or there’s no President that’s ever existed that someone has appointed to and say that President sucks.
People to this day think Abraham Lincoln sucked. They’re wrong, but they think it. There are people who thought FDR sucked. They’re wrong, but they think it. Bill Clinton doesn’t have 100% approval rating. Donald Trump doesn’t have 100% approval rating. Nobody does.
There’s always going to be critics of anything that we do, and very few people ever make it to the top in life without ever making mistakes or having skeletons in their closet.
Obviously the decision was made. It’s time to bring back Brock Lesnar. Whatever that decision is based on, I respect it. If there are critics of it, get over it. He’s here and he’s gonna be here and you ain’t gonna be able to cancel him.
And I’m happy to have him back because the audience is happy to have him back. If we brought him back and the audience rebelled against it, I wouldn’t be happy to have him back. ‘Oh man, this doesn’t work,’ but it works, so I’m happy about it.”
