• Dave Meltzer Gets Heat For Defending AEW After WWE’s Hell In A Cell Outdraws Double Or Nothing

With only one match taking place inside Hell in a Cell and the show missing top stars like Roman Reigns & Ronda Rousey, some fans thought the WWE Hell In A Cell 2022 match-card was weak and it wouldn’t be a financial success.

However, the show was sold out and many fans noted on Social Media that WWE delivered good action.

Wrestling Journalist Dave Meltzer then made the following tweet:

“Because of higher ticket prices, gate for sold out Hell in a Cell is slightly above that of Double or Nothing.”

For those who don’t know, ‘gate’ means the revenue made from the tickets sold.

Many fans called out Meltzer for defending AEW with this tweet, as fans believe Meltzer often takes AEW’s side.

Some fans go as far as saying that Meltzer is on AEW’s payroll.

Speaking of ticket sales, next month’s Money In The Bank 2022 premium live event is already sold out.
