On This Day In Pro Wrestling History (June 13, 1993) – The First Ever King Of The Ring PPV

King of the Ring KOTR WWF WWE

On this day in Pro Wrestling history in 1993, the World Wrestling Federation aired the first ever PPV version of its King of the Ring tournament.

Previous tournaments only happened on untelevised house shows, so this is widely being remembered as the first ever King of the Ring, despite it actually being the 7th event of that kind after 1985, 1986, 1987, 1988, 1989 & 1991.
