Below are a couple of top news stories of the day, featuring Demolition and Melina.

• Demolition, the iconic tag team of Ax (Bill Eadie) and Smash (Barry Darsow), appears to have mended its relationship with WWE, potentially paving the way for a long-awaited Hall of Fame induction.

The tension between Demolition and WWE stemmed from a 1997 lawsuit over name and gimmick rights, as well as their involvement in a 2016 concussion-related class-action lawsuit. However, Barry Darsow recently revealed that WWE invited them to last year’s WrestleMania and Hall of Fame ceremony, though they were unable to attend due to prior commitments.

With Triple H now leading creative, WWE has been more open to honoring Legends, regardless of past disputes. Eadie has since expressed optimism about their future with the company.

Their profile has also been reinstated on WWE’s Alumni section, fueling speculation that a Hall of Fame induction could be imminent.

The tag team later expanded with the addition of Crush (Brian Adams). As 3-time WWF Tag Team Champions, Demolition had a record-breaking title reign and still holds the record for most combined days as champions. They were also involved in classic rivalries with legendary tag teams like The Road Warriors, The Hart Foundation, and The British Bulldogs.
