Shane McMahon is rumored to be joining AEW, and a recent encounter with The Young Bucks has only fueled speculation.
On July 29, 2024, McMahon met with AEW President Tony Khan near Arlington airport to discuss potential collaborations, marking their first direct conversation.
Adding to the intrigue, McMahon was seen with The Young Bucks at JFK Airport, traveling from AEW Grand Slam in New York to Salt Lake City. According to a source:
A source who was on the flight has told Cultaholic that “The Young Bucks and Shane McMahon were both on the 6:29 am ET flight from New York City’s John F. Kennedy International Airport to Salt Lake City, Utah, which is a popular destination for connecting flights to California.
The source further revealed that The Bucks and McMahon were seen speaking and laughing together prior to boarding the plane.
Shane was sat in the row directly behind The Young Bucks in first class, although McMahon claimed it was just a ‘coincidence’ that he and Matt and Nick Jackson were on the same flight.”
Whether this meeting was a coincidence or a calculated move remains unknown, but it has led to widespread speculation about McMahon’s potential role in AEW.
Fans will have to wait to see if this turns into a formal partnership.
