Brock Lesnar busted open at WrestleMania 31
There were some rumors after the WrestleMania 31 main event that Brock Lesnar performed a blade job. In the video footage embedded below, you can watch referee pass something to Roman Reigns and it is believed the referee passed a blade to him so that he can pass it onto to Lesnar.
Actually that is false. What the referee did was a safety check to see if Reigns is alright or not. You can see the video that the referee just put his 2 fingers in Reigns’ hand, not his thumb so he couldn’t be holding a blade. Also, Reigns replied to that safety check by closing his fist, indicating that he’s alright.
Below is the statement issued by WWE regarding this:
“WWE programming is TV-PG and we don’t permit intentional bleeding. The communication or contact between our performers and referees is part of our safety protocol. That said, unintentional blood sometimes occurs, and we do our best to minimize”.
