• One of the most anticipated matches at WrestleMania 39 was Rey Mysterio vs. Dominik Mysterio, where the Father defeated the Son.
On The MMA Hour, Rey was asked if we could see a ‘Mask vs. Hair’ match between him and Dirty Dom at WrestleMania 40 next year.
Below is what The Master of 619 said:
“Why not? I would love that. I don’t think we’ve ever seen that here. Imagine him bald. Don’t imagine me without the mask, you already know.”
Both Rey and Dominik are champions right now. Rey is the United States Champion, while Dominik is the NXT North American Champion.
Rey will have a face-off with Logan Paul on this Friday’s SmackDown, as they are expected to square off for the US Title at next month’s Crown Jewel premium live event.
• According to PWInsider, Michael Cole requested some time off recently due to a personal commitment, and that commitment eventually ended up being on the same night as the “Season Premiere” of RAW last night, which is why he missed the show.
Cole will return to WWE TV next week. This was the 3rd weekly show that Cole has missed in his 26 year career in the company.
• On last night’s episode of RAW, WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions Piper Niven defeated Natalya. After the match, Piper & Chelsea Green attacked Natalya, which led to Tegan Nox making the save.
