Below are some top news stories of the day, involving Dominik Mysterio and Jeff Jarrett.

• At WWE Clash At The Castle 2022, Dominik Mysterio turned heel by attacking his father, Rey Mysterio, and Rey’s tag team partner, Edge.

During an interview on The Bootleg Kev Show, Dirty Dom revealed what Randy Orton texted him after that moment:

“I think it definitely changed as my career has evolved. But in the moment, top of my mind I can think of, Randy’s always been there, as far as texting me, even before he came back, he’d always text me.

I remember when I turned on my dad, he was one of the first people to text me, like, ‘Hell yeah, enjoy the ride, kid.’”

• Jeff Jarrett has had a Hall of Fame-worthy career in multiple promotions, from creating TNA Wrestling to being a top figure in WCW, WWF, and AEW. With so many accomplishments, he may be considering the end of his in-ring career as he nears 57, though he’s uncertain about it.

Approaching his 40th year in professional wrestling, Double J has competed in over 2,000 matches across major promotions since his debut in 1986.

Though he still wrestles regularly, fans are curious about how long this current run might last, with some speculating who he might face in his final match.

On his My World podcast, Jarrett was asked about his ideal retirement opponent if he were to end his career today. Conrad Thompson first suggested he pick one match as a babyface.

“It’s definitely got to be somebody younger than me. 20 Years younger, so I’ve got to look at somebody in their 30s. Oh boy. MJF.”

Jarrett also named Bryan Danielson as his choice if he were entering the match as a heel, imagining it as a fun way to wrap up his career.

“I’d like to drag Bryan Danielson’s a$$ out to the ring and just beat the sh*t out of him and then let him tap me out (laughs). I’ll drag him out. That’d be fun.”
