In the opening match of today’s WWE Worlds Collide event, Aero Star, Mr. Iguana, and Octagón Jr. defeated LWO (Dragon Lee and Cruz Del Toro) and Lince Dorado. After the match, Liv Morgan & Dominik Mysterio were shown on camera and Dominik wasn’t impressed that the winning team members were a fan of his “Deadbeat Dad” Rey Mysterio. Dirty Dom said his father is a disgrace, while he’s the Intercontinental Champion.
Octagon Jr. grabbed Dom and dragged him over the barricade and they get into a brawl. Dominik said he’ll face Octagon Jr. at Money In The Bank and put his Intercontinental Title on the line.
Below is the updated match-card for Money In The Bank, which takes place later tonight:
– Undisputed WWE Champion John Cena & Logan Paul vs. Cody Rhodes & World Heavyweight Champion Jey Uso
– Women’s Intercontinental Championship: Lyra Valkyria (c) vs. Becky Lynch
– Men’s Money In The Bank Ladder Match: Seth Rollins vs. Solo Sikoa vs. LA Knight vs. Penta vs. Andrade vs. El Grande Americano
– Women’s Money In The Bank Ladder Match: Alexa Bliss vs. Roxanne Perez vs. Rhea Ripley vs. Giulia vs. Naomi vs. Stephanie Vaquer
– Intercontinental Championship: Dominik Mysterio (c) vs. Octagon Jr.
Former WWE Star Is Backstage At Worlds Collide Tonight
Fightful Select has reported that Chavo Guerrero is backstage at the event. While there’s no confirmation yet on whether he’ll appear on camera, his presence has sparked speculation.
Guerrero has long-standing ties to both WWE and lucha libre, making his backstage involvement at a cross-promotional show like Worlds Collide especially interesting. Chavo hasn’t appeared on WWE television in several years but remains an active figure in wrestling through coaching and consulting roles.
Given the event’s heavy representation from AAA and lucha talent, his backstage presence could be tied to any number of matches or production elements.
