• “Dream Match” Close To Happening In AEW?

Old School WCW/WWF Legend ‘The Big Show’ Paul Wight recently spoke to ‘Inside The Ropes’ and revealed that the “dream match” of him versus NBA Legend Shaquille O’Neal is closer to actually taking place now than it has ever been before.

While both were in WWE, Shaq mostly appeared as a celebrity, except for the Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal at WrestleMania 32, where they faced off for a few minutes.

However, with both being a part of All Elite Wrestling these days and the former Basketball Superstar already wrestling matches, there does indeed seem to be a good chance of us getting to see that match at some point in the not-so-distant future.

Here’s what The Big Show had to say:

“I think with AEW we don’t have as much red tape. I mean, Shaq’s already competed in AEW. I think this is an opportunity for us to have that spectacle match and have some fun with it. Honestly, I think it’s closer to happening than it’s ever been.”

This match was originally scheduled to take place at WrestleMania 33 in 2017, when Big Show laid down the challenge to Shaq in a face-to-face meeting on the red carpet of the 2016 ESPY Awards.
