• Drew McIntyre Reacts To CM Punk’s Controversial Promo On Roman Reigns
During their latest segment on RAW, World Heavyweight Champion CM Punk said he’s going to bury Roman Reigns next to Roman’s later father, WWF Legend Wild Samoan Sika. During an interview on the Complex Graps podcast, Drew McIntyre said the following about Punk’s controversial promo:
“I can’t really criticize things people say on the microphone when the goal is to get inside someone’s head. I’ve said some of the worst things imaginable to people myself.
Punk is just trying to get into Roman’s head by saying the worst thing possible. I imagine Roman will come back next week and punch him in the face. At this point, that’s probably what they need — stop talking each other to death and start throwing bombs.
I’ve been in the ring with both of them and it kills me to admit how good Punk is and how good Roman is. When they start throwing bombs, it’s going to be interesting.
If Punk wants to get that personal, I know what Roman can do when things get that personal. I’ve said horrible things about him before, and he made my life hell for years because of it.”
• Ex-WWE Wrestler Claims He Has Been Blackballed From Major Promotions
EC3 thinks his reputation for being too honest has gotten him “blackballed” from the wrestling industry. The multi-time World Heavyweight Champion in TNA and NWA recently told Sportshadow that his blunt personality is likely why he isn’t currently signed to a major promotion.
While he admits that staying away from big TV companies is partly his own choice, he also believes some people in the business simply can’t handle his “honest truth.”
Even though he feels sidelined, the former WWE 24/7 Champion isn’t ruling out a comeback. EC3 teased that he would be open to returning to a promotion like TNA if the right offer came along.
EC3 was released from WWE in April 2020 during the COVID-19 related budget cuts.
• Ex-NXT Champion’s Wrestling Career Is Over
Mandy Rose was released from WWE in December 2022 due to her adult subscription content. In her last match, she lost the NXT Women’s Championship to Roxanne Perez, which ended her reign at 413 days. She has now confirmed that her wrestling career is over. Here’s what the Toxic Attraction star said on episode 39 of Prince St. Pizza:
“It was the end of my career, which is kind of like, I went out on top, which I always wanted to, but I didn’t suspect that my career was ending. It was just something that happened and it ended, but like I said, I was grateful that I had that run because it really like increased my equity in the company like 10 fold.
[My WWE release] was (a blessing in disguise) because what I’m doing now, and the money, financially, what I’ve made since being out of there is really significantly higher and there’s a means to it in wrestling.
Listen, I love it. I’m grateful for but personally, I don’t want to be 50 years old and I can’t get out of bed. That’s not what I want. I want to be healthy. I’m very much into fitness and it takes a huge toll on your body.
I didn’t expect it to end that way, but I also am grateful for what had happened, and now I get to do all these other things. It’s a blessing, but it is what it is.”
