Former WWE Champion Drew McIntyre has been out with an injury since his WrestleMania 39 match and we reported that his current WWE contract will end this year.

At this point in time, both sides haven’t reached an agreement for a new deal yet.

The Wrestling Observer recently reported that McIntyre right now is working with the idea that there’s a good chance he’s finishing up with WWE.

If in fact they won’t be able to come to terms anytime soon, there’s a big chance that Tony Khan’s All Elite Wrestling could sign Drew Galloway, which is Drew McIntyre’s real name that he uses outside of WWE.

During a recent episode of his 83 Weeks podcast, WCW Legend Eric Bischoff spoke about a possible AEW debut for The Scottish Warrior at the ‘All In 2023’ pay-per-view on August 27th 2023 at the Wembley Stadium in London, England (UK).

Here’s what the 2021 WWE Hall of Famer said:

“I think McIntyre debuting at All In would turn Wembley Stadium inside out.

With Drew, I could see a scenario where he thinks ‘You know what? I still got gas in my tank and I want to see if I can climb a little higher’.

And if Drew is getting the sense that he’s getting lost in the shuffle creatively or if there’s no opportunity in WWE I could see him making the move.

It’s not always about the money and going to AEW, the money’s gonna be there for Drew if that happens. He’s not going to be hurting for cash that’s for sure.”
