• ECW Legend Claims Triple H Stole His Promo

ECW Legend Shane Douglas was interviewed on the Wrestling Shoot Interviews YouTube channel, where he claimed that WWF Legend ‘The Game’ Triple H once stole one of his promos and copied it word for word.

Here’s what the former ECW World Heavyweight Champion said:

“I’m finishing up putting a sandwich together, and I come around the corner and I hear, ‘It’s my belt, it’s my belt, it’s my damn belt,’ and I went, ‘That’s why it (similarities) scratched my brain.’

That was my promo almost verbatim, except I used the F-bomb, not damn. Borrowing’s one thing, I would be embarrassed to take somebody’s promo, especially a fairly famous promo, and word-for-word make it mine.”

“The Franchise” Shane Douglas wrestled for the biggest pro wrestling promotions in the United States back in the day, including the World Wrestling Federation (1986, 1990-1991 & 1995), Ted Turner’s World Championship Wrestling (1989-1990, 1992-1993 & 1999-2001), Paul Heyman’s Extreme Championship Wrestling (1993-1995 & 1996-1999) and Dixie Carter’s Total Nonstop Action! (2003-2007 & 2009).
