• Stone Cold Steve Austin Trolls Kurt Angle Over A 2001 House Show Match

On August 18th 2001, then WWF Champion ‘Stone Cold’ Steve Austin successfully defended his title against Kurt Angle in the main event of a WWF house show at the Selland Arena in Fresno, California.

During an episode of his weekly ‘The Kurt Angle Show’ podcast, our Olympic Hero revealed that Austin still mentions that untelevised match quite often, as it was the only match in history that ever featured Kurt being legitimately exhausted and blown up.

Here’s what Angle said:

“I’ve only blown up once in my career that I remember, and that was against ‘Stone Cold’ Steve Austin in Fresno. And he never let me forget about it. He always texts me every week, ‘Don’t forget Fresno.’”
