– SmackDown Star LA Knight has now been the #1 merch seller in WWE for 3 months straight.
To top the month of September, Knight (rank 1) beat his Fastlane partner John Cena (rank 2), who is currently back for a 2-month full-time run.
According to Wrestlenomics, Knight had 71 items in the daily top-10 rankings on the WWE Shop, and his black “YEAH!” T-Shirt spent 30 days on the top-10 list.
– Roman Reigns needs 5 more wins to reach 1,000 wins in WWE. The Tribal Chief’s next match will take place on October 14th. He will defend the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship against RAW wrestler Sami Zayn at a WWE Live Event at the T-Mobile Center in Kansas City.
– The “you think you know me” phrase at the starting of Edge’s AEW theme song (Alter Bridge’s Metalingus) was recorded by his wife, fellow WWE Hall of Famer Beth Phoenix, who is also a singer.
– During the AEW WrestleDream media scrum, Chris Jericho said the following about his WrestleMania 26 opponent and former tag team partner “Edge” Adam Copeland joining All Elite Wrestling:
“I’ve known Adam since 1995. He loves wrestling. Sometimes, in other places, that love of wrestling kind of gets squashed and warped a bit, maybe. It’s not like that in AEW. When some of the other guys came, like FTR and Adam Cole and those guys, they couldn’t believe the difference and the vibe of what we have here.
Talking with Adam and seeing him come out to the ring, he’s super stoked and super excited and super motivated. When you’re motivated, that’s when great wrestlers become even better and more legendary. He’s already a great wrestler. He’s a first-round Hall of Famer. Now that he’s motivated again, I think we’re going to see some of the best work Adam Copeland has ever done now here in AEW.”
