• Ex-WCW Tag Team Champion Credited For The Hulk Hogan Heel Turn
Hulk Hogan’s heel turn at the end of the WCW Bash at the Beach 1996 pay-per-view is arguably the greatest turn in the long history of professional wrestling.
During a recent episode of his weekly ‘Kliq This’ podcast, WWF/WCW Legend Kevin Nash credited former WCW World Tag Team Champion Kevin Sullivan for finally convincing Hogan to agree to the idea of the turn, that The Hulkster had already turned down at that point, when Eric Bischoff first brought it up to him.
Sullivan himself claimed in the past that it was in fact him who was responsible for Hulk’s decision.
Here’s what former WWF Champion ‘Big Daddy Cool’ Diesel had to say about The Taskmaster’s claim:
“Kevin (Sullivan) was the only person Hulk was with that day before Bash at the Beach.
They were in Kevin’s condo up at Daytona Beach. I 100% believe that.”
