On this day in 1999, Ted Turner’s World Championship Wrestling aired an episode of their weekly TV show ‘WCW Thunder’.

This episode was pre-taped at the Lubbock Municipal Coliseum in Lubbock, Texas and featured matches & storyline segments on the road to the ‘WCW Fall Brawl 1999’ PPV.

In the opening segment of tonight’s NXT, new NXT Champion Karrion Kross said that he has a separated shoulders and WWE isn’t going to let him compete in this condition.

Kross then relinquished the NXT Championship and left.

NXT General Manager William Regal came to the ring later in the night and announced a Fatal 4 Way, 60 Minute Iron Man Match for the vacant NXT Championship for next week’s NXT Super Tuesday episode:

Johnny Gargano vs. Tommaso Ciampa vs. Finn Balor vs. Adam Cole

It should be noted that all 4 men are former NXT Champions.
