On this day in 2001, Ted Turner’s World Championship Wrestling aired the final episode of their weekly TV show ‘WCW MONDAY NITRO’.
It was broadcasted from the Club La Vela in Panama City Beach, Florida and included matches, interviews & segments featuring the 2001 WCW Wrestlers.
After Mr. McMahon announced earlier on that he had bought World Championship Wrestling, the show ended with a simulcast on WWF RAW (on TNN) that saw Shane McMahon coming out on NITRO and announced that he’s the new owner of WCW.

• Final WWE Hall Of Fame Class Of 2019 Inductee Spoiled
WrestleVotes previously reported that Brutus “The Barber” Beefcake is rumored to be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame Class of 2019.
WHTZ 100.3 FM in New York City spoiled this announcement as they’re running an advertisement for the WWE Hall of Fame ceremony and Beefcake was revealed as one of the inductees.
