• Flashback: “Hopefully we don’t have juiceheads walking around in WWE” – Vince McMahon

In this flashback article, we take a look at Vince McMahon getting interviewed on “Off The Record” back in 2004.

The topic of steroids came up during the interview and Vince McMahon had some interesting things to say. Below are the highlights:

On if WWE tests its performers for steroids:

“We don’t test anymore. Well, it’s expensive which is a bit of a cop-out because I could afford it these days. But I think the reason we don’t test for steroids – we’re performers, we’re entertainers. We’re not cheating anyone. If we’re cheating anyone we’re cheating ourselves, unlike Baseball or the Olympics or something like that because when you use steroids that’s an advantage, you’re cheating, there’s no doubt about it.”

On if WWE wrestlers use steroids because their physiques look good:

“Some of them do [look good], some of them don’t. We all have different body types and a lot of times guys would take steroids not because they wanna look good, but because it helps them with their injuries heal quicker or whatever. That’s up to those individuals and their physician. Hopefully we don’t have juiceheads walking around and I don’t think we do.”
