Batista wrestled for World Wrestling Entertainment from May 2002 to May 2010 and again from January 2014 to June ’14 and one last time in 2019, when he wrestled his final professional wrestling match against his real-life friend Triple H at WrestleMania 35.

During a recent interview on the ‘Perform’ podcast, former 2x WWE Champion Bobby Lashley revealed that he wants to wrestle WWE Ruthless Aggression Era Legend Batista in a singles match.

Here’s what Lashley had to say:

“I love where Dave is and I never try to drum up any controversy or any kind of friction. Dave is definitely somebody I would love to have a match with. It would be something that would do some huge box office numbers. Dave, since he’s left WWE, his whole entire career has exploded to another level. Of course you want to bring somebody like him back. If we can, I know it would be a great match up. I never say that one person is going to win in a competition like that. I’m always betting on myself, but at the end of the day, the fans would win that.”

Dave Batista – who is already a famous actor in Hollywood at this point – has stated multiple times that he is not going to come out of retirement to wrestle another match.

However, as always in professional wrestling … Never Say Never!!!

During his time in WWE, Batista won several titles, including the WWE Championship (2x), the World Heavyweight Championship (4x), the World Tag Team Championship (3x) and the WWE Tag Team Championship (1x). He’s also a 2-time Royal Rumble winner (2005 & 2014) and will be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame within the next few years (after the first attempt fell through, due to his busy Hollywood schedule).

Bobby Lashley first wrestled for WWE from September 2005 until July 2007, then got into Mixed-Martial-Arts, but also had 2 stints in Total Nonstop Action! (TNA) / IMPACT Wrestling from 2009 to 2010 and from 2014 till 2018 before he returned to WWE in April 2018.

Lashley is a former 8-time World Heavyweight Champion in professional wrestling, including 2 reigns as WWE Champion, 2 reigns as ECW World Heavyweight Champion (in WWE) and 4 reigns as TNA/IMPACT Wrestling World Heavyweight Champion.
