Below are the results from tonight’s RAW, featuring the WWE debut of former AEW star Penta.

– CM Punk kicked off RAW and acknowledged the firefighters and first responders working to combat the wildfires in Los Angeles. He then expressed his gratitude for being alive on a Monday night in San Jose. Addressing the live crowd, he asked who had watched last week when he defeated Seth “Freakin” Rollins. He noted that while he had a lot on his plate, Rollins was no longer one of those concerns.

Punk reflected on his failure to win the 2024 Men’s Royal Rumble and the injury he suffered during the match, where he tore his triceps. He stated that he turned his biggest setback into his biggest comeback. Punk then called out John Cena, referencing Cena’s declaration to win the 2025 Men’s Royal Rumble, and shared that he held the same goal of finally achieving his dream of main-eventing WrestleMania.

Rollins’ music hit, and he made his way to the ring. He admitted he knew Punk wasn’t happy to see him but couldn’t be surprised since Rollins had promised to confront him and was a man of his word. Rollins said he had experienced plenty of big losses, but his defeat to Punk last week was the worst of his career. He confessed his deep disappointment in himself for failing to get the job done and announced his intention to redeem himself by winning the Men’s Royal Rumble and derailing Punk’s WrestleMania aspirations.

Drew McIntyre’s music then played as he walked to the ring. McIntyre remarked that Punk had become even more disgusting than he thought possible. Punk shot back by reminding him of their previous encounter, but McIntyre clarified he was actually addressing Rollins. He said the key difference between himself and Punk was that Punk could at least admit “what a piece of crap he is.” Rollins retorted that he had no patience for McIntyre, and Punk added that he had no patience for either of them.

Punk declared his readiness to fight, squaring up with Rollins. McIntyre approached the ring but chose not to enter, questioning why he should after everything that had been said. Instead, McIntyre pointed out that Roman Reigns was playing chess while everyone else was playing checkers. He then announced he would be joining Punk and Rollins in the Men’s Royal Rumble.

He told Gunther that now that his family drama was behind him, his focus was on the World Heavyweight Championship at WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event on January 25. Gunther dismissed Jey, stating that he didn’t take him seriously and referring to him as a good tag team wrestler who wasn’t on his level. He added that while “Main Event” might be Jey’s nickname, it’s Gunther’s rightful place, and Jey should steer clear of the championship picture. However, Gunther said he was still willing to defend the title against Jey, leaving the decision up to him.

As Gunther prepared to leave the ring, Jey stopped him. He expressed his respect for Gunther and admitted that everything he said was true. Jey acknowledged his initial fear of becoming a singles star but shared that he bet on himself, promising that Gunther would respect him at Saturday Night’s Main Event.
