• Former WWE Champion Could Return At Tonight’s Money In The Bank 2021 PPV (Spoiler)

According to Wrestlevotes, 16-time WWE World Heavyweight Champion John Cena could be making his return to WWE at tonight’s Money In The Bank 2021 pay-per-view.

Here’s what their update read:

“Source states the plan going back weeks ago was for a big time surprise tonight. Same source states they haven’t heard anything regarding it all weekend, which could just be to throw everyone off… idk, it’s not like this person can be seen or anything.”

Cena was originally scheduled to return on this coming Friday’s episode of SmackDown (post-Money In The Bank episode).

As we all know by now, we’re getting Roman Reigns vs. John Cena for the Universal Championship in the main event of SummerSlam 2021.

Two months ago, there were discussions that Cena could enter the Men’s Money In The Bank ladder match, win it, and then cash it in to challenge Roman at SummerSlam.

No word yet on if that will still happen. Follow our Money In The Bank coverage to see what happens tonight.
