• Former WWE Champion Expected To Return To AEW Soon

Former WWE Champion & current AEW wrestler Jeff Hardy was arrested for DUI back in June.

According to court records, Jeff filed a written plea of not guilty on June 28.

The primary charge he’s facing is a Felony under Florida law (which means Jeff could face up to 5 years in Jail if he’s convicted), as this was his 3rd DUI arrest in 10 years. The other charges fall under misdemeanors.

Hardy is currently suspended from All Elite Wrestling without pay.

AEW President Tony Khan recently noted that Jeff is currently in treatment and that this is his last chance.

In an update on this situation, the Wrestling Observer is reporting that Jeff is expected to be out of rehab soon and will return to the ring in AEW.

Matt Hardy recently said the following about his younger brother on his podcast:

“We’re getting close to the point where we meet the new Jeff and we figure out his future and what he ends up doing.

I’m pretty excited because I feel like his mentality is like – he knows he has to make some changes and do what’s right. I feel like he’s at a point where he will this time around.

I’m excited to have him back and I think this would be amazing. It’d be so much fun.”

• Old School WWF Tag Team Veteran Celebrates His Birthday

Old School WWF Tag Team Veteran Phil Lafon celebrates his 61st birthday today.

After wrestling in Canada and Japan for quite some time, Phil Lafon and his Tag Team partner Doug Furnas joined the World Wrestling Federation in November 1996, when they wrestled in an elimination match at the annual Survivor Series pay-per-view, coming up as the sole survivors of their classic Survivor Series Team of 4.

They turned Heel in the fall of 1997 and eventually were sent to Paul Heyman’s Extreme Championship Wrestling as part of a deal, where several WWF guys like Brakkus and Droz worked for ECW.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY PHIL LAFON
