As we noted earlier, former WWE Champion Daniel Bryan has been working on the SmackDown creative team.

Since Bryan came out of retirement, he had agreed to a WWE deal under the condition that he’ll have a say in his booking. He now has a say in other wrestlers’ booking as well.

As seen on this week’s SmackDown, Gran Metalik faced off against Intercontinental Champion AJ Styles, which was a match pitched by Bryan. Drew Gulak vs. AJ Styles was also Bryan’s idea. The Fatal-4-Way match for a shot at the Intercontinental Championship on last week’s SmackDown was also his idea.

WrestlingNewsco is reporting that fans should expect to see more underused wrestlers on TV as Bryan is pushing for them to be used on SmackDown. It was also noted that Vince McMahon has been open to ‘fresh’ ideas lately to boost the ratings of RAW and SmackDown.

Lucha House Party will be seen more on TV thanks to Bryan. It’s likely that Big E will also get more TV time, as Bryan is a big fan of him and Gran Metalik.
