• Former WWE Champion Not Returning For Royal Rumble 2018

Former WWE Champion Rey Mysterio and WWE officials were having talks for a possible return for Mysterio a while back. This began speculation that Mysterio could be returning for Royal Rumble 2018.

Dave Meltzer recently addressed this situation and noted that talks between Mysterio and WWE are no longer going on and that Mysterio has some other non-WWE plans for the coming months.

Meltzer noted that Mysterio would return to WWE if he was offered a $3 million per year deal, but that most probably won’t be the case.

It should be noted that only 4 WWE stars got paid more than $3 million in 2016. Below is the list:

– Roman Reigns ($3.5 Million)

– Triple H ($3.8 Million)

– John Cena ($8 Million)

– Brock Lesnar ($12 Million)
