Daniel Bryan hasn’t worked any WWE show since June due to the birth of his second child. He last wrestled in the Intercontinental Championship tournament final against AJ Styles, which he lost.

Bryan was drafted to SmackDown on this week’s episode of RAW.

WWE has announced that Bryan will be returning to TV on this week’s Season Premiere episode of SmackDown.

Below is what WWE announced:

“Will Daniel Bryan be back on the blue brand this week?

Yes! Yes! Yes!

The Grand Slam Champion will make his WWE ThunderDome debut on the SmackDown season premiere Friday night. What will Bryan have to say in his return to the bright lights on FOX?

Catch Bryan’s return to Friday Night SmackDown at 8/7 C on FOX.”

Below is the match card for tomorrow night’s SmackDown:

– Roman Reigns (c) vs. Braun Strowman – Universal Championship match

– The New Day vs. Sheamus, Shinsuke Nakamura and Cesaro – New Day’s Farewell match

– Jeff Hardy vs. Lars Sullivan

– The Street Profits (c) vs. Dolph Ziggler and Robert Roode – SmackDown Tag Team Championship match

There will be a kick-off show hosted by Renee Young and Booker T at 7:30 pm ET.

• Old School WCW Veteran Would Have Celebrated His Birthday

Today would have been the 65th birthday of Old School WCW Veteran Al Green (Real name: Alfred Dobalo).

In 1990 & 1991, he wrestled as “Blade”, teaming with Steel (Kevin Nash) as ‘The Master Blasters’, before in 1992 Green changed his name to “Rage”, one half of ‘The Wrecking Crew’.

After touring Japan & Europe during the mid-90s, he returned to World Championship Wrestling in the summer of 1998 and wrestled for them until he was released in March 2000, but was used for the most part as a ‘Jobber To The Stars’.
