Bryan Danielson (fka Daniel Bryan in WWE) is one of the best technical wrestlers alive today. He’s also one of the most non-problematic people in pro wrestling and is seen as a locker room leader in AEW.

The American Dragon was one of the big names who carried AEW on his back last year after CM Punk and The Elite were suspended following their brawl at All Out 2022.

Danielson saved the day for AEW once again this year when he replaced CM Punk in a match against Ricky Starks at All Out 2023, after Punk was fired from the promotion.

He put on a great Strap match with Starks on a notice of a few days, which was also his first match since he broke his forearm in a match against Kazuchika Okada at the Forbidden Door PPV earlier this year.

According to PWInsider, Danielson has risen greatly in terms of behind the scenes influence politically over the last 6 weeks. Even before All In, Danielson had taken on the responsibility of trying to facilitate between talents.

AEW President Tony Khan said in an interview last month that he has told his father Shahid Khan that he needs to have Bryan Danielson run AEW if something happens to him.
