Former WWE Cruiserweight Champion Hornswoggle was recently interviewed by ‘Inside The Ropes’. Among other questions, they also asked him if there are any plans for a potential in-ring return.

Here’s what Hornswoggle had to say:

“Not that I know of. I mean, I would love to, but in-ring, probably is behind me, if I’m being honest with myself after my second failed back surgery.

It ain’t in the cards, I don’t believe in-ring for a major company. But I truly believe the coaching stuff.

And I’m finally like, grasping that whether I have more to give inside the ring compared to outside, and teaching and helping and that I’m okay with that.

I can sign my fake name for the rest of my life. And I’m fully okay with that.”

He started on WWE TV in May 2006 as WCW Veteran Finlay’s sidekick ‘Little B*stard’, before eventually receiving the name Hornswoggle.

In 2007, they had a storyline where he was revealed to be Vince McMahon’s illegitimate son, after Mr. Kennedy (who was originally scheduled for that role) had a wellness program violation and had to be suspended.

By 2008, the story played out with JBL revealing that Hornswoggle was really Finlay’s son, not McMahon’s.
