During WWE Bad Blood in Atlanta, tensions escalated between wrestling legend Goldberg and World Heavyweight Champion Gunther, leading to speculation about a potential match between the two.

The confrontation started when Gunther insulted Goldberg, taunting him with remarks about his career and family.

Gunther mocked Goldberg by saying that he wasn’t his childhood hero like he stated before and further insulted Goldberg’s legacy, taunting his son, Gage, by hoping Goldberg was “a better father than he was a wrestler.”

Enraged, Goldberg leaped over the barricade to confront Gunther, but security quickly intervened to prevent a physical altercation.

On the Gigantic Pop podcast, wrestling veteran Matt Morgan shared his thoughts on a potential Goldberg vs. Gunther match, saying,

“If it is Goldberg, I love Goldberg but no offense, dude, it’s gotta be like a five-second match and Gunther just annihilates him.

It has to be that way if it happens.”

Goldberg, who last competed in WWE in 2022 against Roman Reigns, is semi-retired.

After security broke up the confrontation, Sami Zayn took advantage of the distraction and launched a sneak attack on Gunther, continuing the chaos.

Zayn and Gunther are set to face off on Monday Night RAW for the World Heavyweight Championship.
